REBRAND

Barrel & Batch - a subscription-based whisky club - was evolving into an alcohol retailer focusing on premium wine and spirits for a younger, less 'masculine' audience. It needed a total brand refresh away from the cliché 'cigars & chesterfields' world it was in.

With a new mission to help customers elevate their alcohol game into something a bit more premium, we developed a new brand platform ‘Raise Your Glass’ - a direct call-to-action for customers to choose better drinks, and a toast to the brand as well.

The new Barrel & Batch brand was to be more inclusive of all tastes, throwing off the shackles of 'cigars and chesterfields' and opening up the world of Barrel & Batch to a younger, aspirational and curious audience - no matter their drink of choice.

From top to bottom, every part of Barrel & Batch was rebuilt for this new audience. From the brand language and Tone-of-Voice, to the design aesthetic and art direction, every part of the rebrand intentionally widened its appeal to different audiences interested in everything from the rarest whiskies to the most summer-suited white wines - without the elitism.
